Lady Gaga's Evolution in 'American Horror Story: Hotel'

Lady Gaga's Evolution in 'American Horror Story: Hotel'

We already know that Gaga is very dedicated and passionate when it comes to planning and executing performances, shows and everything else and with the process of her evil character of 'The Countess' on American Horror Story: Hotel isn't the exception. Ryan Murphy and her glam squad break down The Countess' style on this video behind the evolution of the character.

Lady Gaga’s makeup artist Sarah Tanno who works with the 30-year-old both on and off the red carpet said: "Whave quite a process to make the Countess come to life — we’ve done over 65 looks," and her hair stylist Frederic Aspiras, who’s featured in this video was also behind her to check if everything was good.

According to the show’s costume designer Lou Eyrich, the collaboration with Gaga was rewarding but demanding, given the pressure that she felt to deliver a "volume of really great couture." Every element — head-to-toe — mattered to the high fashion-versed pop star. "Lou and I spent a lot of time talking about how I feel about the character — like, why she wears her hair a certain way when she goes out hunting. When [the Countess] walks into the room, it all belongs to her" says Gaga, who won a Golden Globe for her role.

And co-creator and producer Ryan Murphy mentioned: "I think [Gaga] was drawn to being an actor because she was a little afraid of it — like, she wanted to conquer it — and yet she’s playing someone who has no fear." Here, look back at every fearless fashion moment — platinum locks, bleached brows, cinched waistlines and fierce gloves — and find out why the Countess’ looks changed depending on her lover.
