'A Star Is Born' Receives 8 Oscar Nominations

The nominations for the 91st Academy Awards have been announced today, and Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have been picked some of them. Gaga's acting and Cooper's directorial debut have made this film earned several awards throughout 2018 and it seems this year won't be the exception. 
The film has received 8 out of 14 eligible nominations including picture, song (Shallow), actor (Cooper), actress (Gaga), cinematography, sound mixing, etc.

Also, Gaga is nominated for two awards, Best Actress and Best Original Song for 'Shallow,' making history as the only person to earn these Oscar nominations in the same year. The film has become the version with most Oscar nominations. The 1937-original-film with Janet Gaynor scored 7 nominations, while the 1954 adaptation with Judy Garland and the 1976 remake with Barbara Streisand scored 6 and 4 nominations respectively.
