'Gaga: Five Foot Two' Nominated at 54th Cinema Audio Society Awards

Lady Gaga and her first-ever documentary 'Gaga: Five Foot Two' which was released last year exclusively on Netflix and premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, has been nominated at the 54th Annual Cinema Audio Society Awards. The documentary film is up for 'Motion Picture - Documentary' category. Gaga's doc shares the nomination alongside projects like "An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power," "Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars,""Production Mixer – Lee Smith," and "Long Strange Trip."

Julie Miller of Vanity Fair called the doc "remarkable" and "awards-worthy" and wrote: "The stunning film transports its audience into the wild, whiplash existence of a six-time Grammy-winning singer/songwriter, actress, a beloved avatar of self-expression, and entrepreneur."

Leslie Felperin of The Hollywood Reporter said: "Gaga exudes nuclear levels of magnetism, and the film captures her intense relationship with her friends, family, and fans," while Variety’s Owen Gleiberman wrote: "Five Foot Two shows you Lady Gaga evolving — but more than that it shows you that she’s only just getting started."

The award ceremony will take place at OMNI Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza in Los Angeles, California on February 24th, 2018. The Cinema Audio Society was formed in 1964 for the purpose of sharing information with Sound Professionals in the Motion Picture and Television Industry. The CAS is a philanthropic, non-profit organization that currently contributes to the House Ear Institute.
